Welcome to my highway. I am fully convinced that the city of which I currently reside is the home of public assistance and welfare. Consider this; of all the towns, in our great state of Idaho Pocatello has within more square blocks more public assistance and mental health services agencies than just about any town in Idaho. I do not know if its because Pocatello sits out the backyard of Blackfoot Idaho where the states cracker nuts are housed or that Pocatello due to some serious mismatches in state and city government has created a city of blight, whatever the cause why is it that Pocatello once a city of prosperity is now threatened with its own survival. Does make one think don't it? So then one may ask why Dixie Diesel Radio/Television makes one of its media centers here? First Pocatello sits at a juncture of 4 major highways, through our state, they being U.S. 30, I-15, U.S. 89 and I--86 . That being the case we are here to better serve you our fellow truckers and members of the Rode Eaglez Association. The other part of this is that like Johnny Appleseed if we don't plant the seeds othing will grow. Enuff sedd. Okay then, The Hazzard County Knytes and the Rode Eaglez Association have decided to pass on buying KPIF TV of Pocatello and establish our own station near Mountain Home Idaho. With only 35 miles to our capitol city of Boise which gives us a greater media labor force to hire from and get visual on air talent from, as well as Mountain Home Idaho is a location of a U.S. Air Force Base as such the city and area are more military friendly, and last but not least Mountain Home s only 46 miles north of Hazzard Idaho, and I do not need to go into the advantages of that but suffice to say much more will get done much faster. I am dedicated to relocating there mid June to early July. Last but certainly not least my XYL(EX-YOUNG-LADY)-{former wife} is beginning to show signs of turning queer. Not that I mind that much as after all I don't have to mess with her any more. However now that I have full custody of my son, my solo wings are getting a bit clipped, and its real hard to be changing my ways after so many years. But I will manage. Current regulations for truckers that were made law last year in our nations capitol is now manditory. the HOS are however being revized and should have a new set of game rules out by mid June, according to boh the NHTSA as well as DOT. Light duty CDL is being propsed in congress this year as well as though many state DMV's. For many years we who towed under a claSS D license will now have to graduate into a Class 3/CDL or one for light duty under 25,000 GVW Commercial hauling. As always production agriculture gets a reprieve on this with farm trucks and vehicles although licensed as commercial trucks will be allowed a stay in the current regulatory changes. The rest of us will have to get our CDL's no excuses this time. Dig out the books . Because of the change here the Rode Eaglez will be looking at setting up both low cost training classes as well as third party CDL skills testers and testing centers. These centers will be spot tested in Idaho. If succesful we will extend the testing centers to other area and regional states of our membership chapters. Dixie Diesel finally goes on Television, Friday at 5:00PM Mountain Standard Time in Pocatello Idaho on Cable access channel 12 . What makes this very special, is that Dixie Diesel TV will be the first Television show on TV for news and 411 dedicated to both the Trucking and Towing industries. So if your in the area tune in okay? If we get this off the tarmac we can use it as a first block of the building of a nationwide show on TV for truckers and trucking. We could really use your support. Last I'llbe out of service for two months as ou Internet services are being upgraded from having to pay for I-net access through someone else and us having our own Internet Access. In essence we are building our own I-net access system.
