From the Rode House

d header1

As I watched the TV earlier I had to laugh at the news story of Idaho mainly Eastern Idaho pitching the area to film makers. Oh really ? Where are they going to find an talent acting or otherwise to be on the tube. An associate and no not Brian, said the other day one of the problems I have in this area is due to the fact that while I myself can't see it there is a BIG RED NEON sign on my forehead saying PREDITOR. While nothing could be further from the truth. Heck if I needed (Some days it might be nice) But if I needed to get laid that bad, a 247.3 actual miles to the Sugar Shack in Wells Nevada would take care of that problem and for much less money and much less stress. So its not a he and she thing that I do this media thing up for. The main reason I do this is simply that I like you have are out there rolling freight up and don that interstate looking for road, weather, and industry news and information, even if my freight is resquing disabled trucks still its still pulling a load. The thing is I also can remember when we first established the HQ of Dixie Diesel in Boise, years ago, back in 1985 to be exact there was no ground school for aspiring broadcasters at least in Idaho. The Ron Bailey Western School of Broadcasting in Oregon had closed up and even if it hadn't that was a long way to go to hire interns to burn what we were doing. So at the 1986 Western Idaho State Fair in Boise at the Boise State University ( BSU) booth, they were asking what kinds of programs would be attractive and would help the area? I pitched the concept of a Vo-Tech , Radio-TV-Media program . Now it probably did not hurt that the head bean counter of Confederate Star was also a member of the advisory committee of BSU nor a bad thing that same bean counter owned Turnkey Construction of Boise that designed and constructed both the Ann Morrison Performing Arts Center nor the Boise State Pavilion but he did. After I had stupidly moved from Boise to PocaShit Idaho to go to body and paint school. Should have done that at BSU, if I had, much money and a bunch of crap could have been avoided including but not limited too loosing the Gen Lee, having a son, etc. Hind sight is 20/20 meaning even I have ill faited concepts. Any mile that Vo-Tech Media program did take off at BSU. Started by none other that the Hazzard County Rode Warriors Association. Could that happen here in Eastern Idaho at ISU ? Sure it could, but again that would take a heavy duty pull out of the head from Mormon Fear, here that don't seem likely.

More in the AM have thundering children's above my head need to get some grub. L8R Haulers
