She's no relation but sure wish she was, looking into ancestors.

GAZZETTE1

When I was younger my Mom used to spoof me by telling me that Elizabeth Montgomery the star of yesterdays TV series Bewitched was related to me. The idea that Moms first name is Eudora, and the on screen mom of Elizabeth or Smantha Stevens the character that Elizabeth played's mom was named Endora was somehow believable. Although later in life Mom explained it was all in fun. Later in Life however the male star on the show did die of he same lung disease Mom did so there might have been a bewitching coincidence. Okay then but the history of my names sake rolls from Alabama to New York and all the way to Ireland where my grandparents on my Dad's side of my family came from. Our families history is always one of those interesting parts of life's search quests. It can become very interesting to learn things of our families that we never knew. From the time I was merely 6 years old although somehow I knew I had them but never had the fact made valid until one day when defending myself from a bully at school, that the same kid I was fighting told me I had a brother whom was MIA. In Vietnam. I brought up the subject with Mom and Dad at dinner that night and it would be several days until they told me the real story. Could that be why Mom And Dad spoiled me so much and opened so many doors or at least as many doors for me to explore that they did? Who knows, but for years I have been searching for information on that just if for no other reason to satisfy the question in my mind. Any time I see the last name Montgomery anywhere I begin to search, to see if perhaps there is a connection between my family or me and someone else. Like Poppy Montgomery one of the stars of TNT's series Without a trace. She is great looking of course, and while she no doubt is no relation does make you wonder if she is. One famous or not depending on your view was the person who played the on TV DJ at Boss Hogg's radio station on the TV series Dukes-of-Hazzard. I found out during my close relationship with the entire cast and producers of that show that TV star Richie Montgomery is a relation of mine. Richie is he son of one of my Uncles, on my Dads side. That's all I'll say about that, but sometimes its neat to trace ones heritage. Some times the connection can open doors one never thought. Richie's character is strange somehow in that in life I do radio for all things Hazzard, and on TV Richie did radio for things Hazzard. Keep it tween the ditches.
